I Am Smart, S-M-R-T!

Here's a simple little test on basic American History. Might as bone up before we let the liberals roll over and accept Osama as our leader.

You Are a Smart American

You know a lot about US history, and you're opinions are probably well informed.

Congratulations on bucking stereotypes. Now go show some foreigners how smart Americans can be.

Update from the Big Blue Couch

Salutations!

Well, I survived another Monday, it was touch and go for awhile, but we pulled through. Just a quick update on life in the SLV. After temperatures that hasn't been seen in 10 years, the weather seems to be picking up. Work is still crazy as ever, trying to stay ahead of the curve and the wave of paperwork.

In blog-related news, there is an addition to the line-up. Digg has fixed the blog it link so that works with the new g-mail sign-in blogger. This means that now I can put stories from today's news that I find interesting here. To check out the stories, just follow the links at the bottom of the post. If you are interested in the stories I find interesting, check it out.

Anyway, I'm going to enjoy the rest of my Monday with a beer and a re-run of CSI:Miami. Check ya later!

UPS is the No. 1 parking violator in San Francisco

This article just shows how business gets around bureaucracy. I'm sure that they take the total of traffic tickets their drivers get a year, and figure out how much they have to raise prices to compensate. So the shippers get the short end of the stick, and these big cities are making out. Seems wrong to me.

As from Digg.com-
"The package delivery firm gets an average of one parking ticket every 45 minutes. Last year, UPS paid $673,334 in fines for 11,788 tickets. A FedEx driver says of parking cops: "I know they're doing their job. But I'm doing my job, too. If we had to drive around looking for parking, we wouldn't get our job done."
