Saharan sun's solar power could provide Europe's electricity

Interesting concept, wonder if it's economically feasible, considering the infastructure for the plant itself as well as laying the cable to get the juice.

Speaking at the Euroscience Open Forum in Barcelona, Arnulf Jaeger-Walden of the European commission's Institute for Energy, said it would require the capture of just 0.3% of the light falling on the Sahara and Middle East deserts to meet all of Europe's energy needs.

Researchers: Why Flip-Flops Are Bad For Your Feet

I knew there was a reason I hated them. But I guess if you are dumb enough to wear them and annoy others around you, you deserve foot pain and parasites.

Researchers at Auburn University have found that wearing flip-flops alters the way one walks, changing the gait in subtle ways that can lead to serious sole, heel and ankle problems. They presented these findings earlier this month at the annual meeting of the American College of Sports Medicine in Indianapolis.

UPS is the No. 1 parking violator in San Francisco

This article just shows how business gets around bureaucracy. I'm sure that they take the total of traffic tickets their drivers get a year, and figure out how much they have to raise prices to compensate. So the shippers get the short end of the stick, and these big cities are making out. Seems wrong to me.
